Traditional Batik Uniform

Traditional Indonesian Batik Pattern, selected among 800+ submissions, winning piece, now officially the batik uniform for ACS Jakarta.

Illustration

A hand-designed batik pattern rooted in the textile traditions of Central Java, developed through research into classical Javanese motif and symbolism.

The design draws on sido asih iconography — six-petaled flowers encoding core values and dragon-scaled forms signifying bravery — translated into a repeating pattern suitable for uniform production. Each motif was selected for its cultural specificity, not aesthetic convenience.

The pattern was nominated and selected as the Official Batik Uniform of Anglo Chinese School Jakarta. Design worn by over 1500+ of the student body across 2 campuses weekly.
